History of Heath
Heath McIvor stumbled into puppetry at the age of 17. He apologised, bought it a drink and the two have been firm friends ever since.
From theatre to film and television, Heath has performed almost every style of puppetry imaginable, including one show where he spent 15 minutes manipulating a sprig of rosemary. With a career spanning four continents, Heath has been a writer, director, collaborator, teacher, facilitator, performer and freeloader on everything from the largest scale arena spectacular to the "least attended two-bit piece of hokey backyard pathetic excuse for a children's party I've ever had the misfortune of attending." My cousin Rachel, no stars.
Heath has been performing, collaborating, developing, touring and moonlighting with Melbourne based children's theatre company Polyglot Theatre since 2002, while his commercial stage credits include The Hobbit, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Walking With Dinosaurs, the Live Experience. Heath's television experience includes Pigs Breakfast, Li'l Horrors and most recently as Fiend in Me and my Monsters. The latter was produced by Tiger Aspect, The Jim Henson Company and Sticky Pictures and is currently airing on the CBBC network in the UK and Network 10 in Australia.

In 2008 Heath teamed up with musical comedian Sammy J to write and perform in Sammy J in the Forest of Dreams, winning the Age Critics Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and going on to a sell out season at the 2008 and 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, an extensive tour of the UK and a moderately obscure DVD release.
Deciding that comedy was worth pursuing, Heath penned and debuted his solo show Randy's Postcards From Purgatory for the 2009 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. The show received generous praise and sold out at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Randy has since appeared on Good News Week and the Melbourne Comedy Festival televised gala, and continues to deliver his acerbic brand of expletive ridden stand up comedy at rooms around the country.
In 2010 Heath reunited with Sammy J to write and perform in Sammy J and Randy in Ricketts Lane, winning the prestigious Barry Award for best show at the 2010 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and selling out at the Sydney Opera House. Their most recent collaboration 'Bin Night' played to sold out houses at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival in 2011. Heath is currently working on a new solo show for Randy which will debut at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
